Under this program area the Center provides training on economic development tools, techniques and strategies, conducts workshops and seminars on various economic development topics, and provides specialized training leading to a certificate in economic development.

Neighborhood Housings Services of Dimmit County Inc. (NHSDC, Inc) Capacity Building Program

The Center for Economic Development is developing and implementing a capacity building training program for the Neighborhood Housing Services of Dimmit County, Inc. to help them better manage their programs and assets, and implement their Community Development Financial Institution - CDFI initiative.

Training Program in Economic Development

The Center provides a Training Program in Economic Development offering training to community leaders and public officials. Over the past five years the Center has conducted several regional institutes and workshops in areas relating to economic, community and regional development throughout South Texas.

Specialized Training Program in Economic and Community Development

The Center provides specialized training programs in the areas of economic, community and regional developing focusing on strategic planning, economic analysis, and leadership development.
